Thousands of citizens are expected to gather once again today in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, demanding a halt to construction projects in Zvërnec and calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government.
Today marks the 13th consecutive day of protests organized by Albanian citizens. What began as a local demonstration has continued to grow, spreading to other cities across the country and attracting support from Albanians living abroad.
Meanwhile, yesterday’s protest saw a large turnout of demonstrators demanding Rama’s departure from office. Protesters marched for several hours into the night, expressing their opposition to the government and their support for the protection of Zvërnec.
The demonstrations continue under the slogan “Albania Is Not for Sale,” as participants call for greater transparency, environmental protection, and political accountability.
