Protesters gathered once again for the 15th consecutive day of demonstrations. Chanting slogans such as “Rama, resign!” and “Narta and Zvërnec will come back to haunt you,” they marched from Skanderbeg Square toward the Prime Minister’s Office.
The protests began in opposition to a planned resort project in Zvërnec, a proposed investment reportedly worth $4 billion.
During speeches from the protest stage, organizers announced that certain individuals in the crowd were allegedly collecting ID cards and signatures for a petition. They clarified that no official petition was being organized and warned participants not to hand over their personal documents.
Tensions briefly flared within the crowd, involving several young individuals who were reportedly wearing hoodies, large sunglasses, and face coverings, drawing attention from both protesters and organizers.
Videos and images from the scene have circulated online as the demonstrations continue for a fifteenth straight day.
