Drone footage has captured spectacular scenes from today’s protest, showing thousands of citizens spreading across the streets of the capital during a large-scale demonstration against the government.
The images reveal huge crowds filling the main boulevard and several of the city’s busiest streets as protesters marched through Tirana in one of the most significant public gatherings seen in recent years. The demonstration began in front of the Prime Minister’s Office before moving toward the Municipality of Tirana, continuing through the area known as the “9-Katëshet,” and later heading along Kavaja Street.
The impressive aerial footage shows long lines of demonstrators stretching through the city center, with participants carrying banners, waving flags, and chanting slogans throughout the march. The protest remained energetic and highly visible as thousands of people walked together, drawing the attention of residents, visitors, and passersby.
Throughout the march, protesters repeatedly chanted slogans such as:
“Rama, resign!”
“Your time is over!”
“Edi Rama, thief, thief, thief!”
as well as other messages directed at the government and political leaders.
Organizers described the turnout as one of the largest and most remarkable moments of the ongoing protest movement, while participants said they had gathered to make their voices heard and express their concerns about the country’s future.
The drone footage offers a striking view of the scale of the demonstration, highlighting the large number of people who took part and the extent to which the protest spread across the heart of Tirana.
