To Succeed the Socialist MP: New Head of the General Directorate of Archives Appointed (NAME)

The General Directorate of Archives has officially appointed a new director. It has been learned that this Thursday, Auron Rrokaj assumed leadership of the institution responsible for the administration, preservation, and protection of Albania’s documentary heritage, a position that had been held by acting directors for some time.

Rrokaj has spent several years in managerial and inspection roles within the General Directorate of Archives, contributing to the management and development of policies aimed at safeguarding archival documentation.

A graduate of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Tirana and further specialized at the University for Foreigners of Perugia, Rrokaj has built an extensive career in public administration, diplomacy, education, and civil society.

The news of his appointment was announced by the General Directorate of Archives itself through a social media post, in which the institution wished the new director success in his role.

Rrokaj succeeds Ardit Bido, who was elected as a Socialist Party (PS) Member of Parliament in the most recent parliamentary elections.
