The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, has commented on former Socialist MP Petro Koçi’s statement about Belinda Balluku, whom he referred to as the “founder of corruption” in a comment made following an event held in Fier marking the 35th anniversary of the Socialist Party’s founding.
Speaking outside Parliament, Balla was asked by journalists about Koçi’s remarks targeting the former Deputy Prime Minister and former minister, who is currently under investigation by SPAK and serves as the Socialist Party’s political leader in Fier. Responding with irony, Balla said that the days are hot and temperatures are high.
“I have not followed Petro’s statement and I refuse to comment on something I have not read myself. Nevertheless, these are hot days with high temperatures, and everyone has their own viewpoints. But I believe Fier is the Socialist Party’s stronghold. I have led this region before. We have always won in Fier, and we will continue to win,” Balla said.
