Just hours before what is expected to be the biggest concert of his career, Albanian singer Ylli Limani is facing growing criticism on social media as nationwide protests continue for a 13th consecutive day.
The concert, titled “Call Me Today or Tomorrow,” is scheduled to take place over two days and is expected to attract around 30,000 attendees, with most tickets already sold. However, instead of excitement surrounding the event, Limani’s latest social media posts have been flooded with comments from people urging him to postpone the concert out of respect for the ongoing demonstrations.
“If you respect the youth and the cause they are fighting for, postpone the concert,” one user wrote.
“I bought tickets, but I’m going to the protest instead,” commented another.
Many others have expressed disappointment over what they describe as the singer’s silence regarding the situation, with some even calling for a boycott of the event.
So far, Ylli Limani has not publicly responded to the growing demands for the concert to be postponed. His only recent updates have been related to entry information and event schedules for ticket holders.
Meanwhile, debate continues across social media. Some supporters argue that the concert should go ahead as planned, while others believe it should be delayed in light of the ongoing protests and the issues being raised by demonstrators.
Whether the singer will address the controversy or proceed with the event as scheduled remains to be seen.
