It was not only Albanians living abroad and thousands of citizens from Tirana who joined today’s protest, but also foreign tourists showed their support by taking part in the demonstration against the government.
For 12 consecutive days, Albanians and supporters of opposition leader Sali Berisha have united in protest, calling for the government’s resignation and the departure of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
An unexpected moment occurred during today’s gathering when an American tourist took the microphone and stated that “tourists are not afraid of this protest at all.” While addressing the crowd, he also expressed his support for the demonstration taking place in the capital.
The unusual intervention quickly drew attention from protesters, highlighting the growing international curiosity surrounding the ongoing demonstrations in Albania.
