Rama Resign!” / 15th Consecutive Protest Today as Thousands Demand Prime Minister’s Departure: “Revolution!”

With chants of “Rama resign!”, thousands of citizens are expected to gather once again today for the 15th consecutive day of protests, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Under the slogan “Albania is not for sale – our voice, our dignity, our future are not for sale,” protesters will assemble in Skanderbeg Square before marching toward the Prime Minister’s Office. As on previous days, activists and citizens are expected to deliver speeches and express their dissatisfaction with the country’s political leadership.

Meanwhile, yesterday’s demonstration concluded with what organizers described as a historic turnout, as long columns of protesters filled the streets, chanting slogans against the government and calling for Prime Minister Edi Rama’s resignation on the 14th day of the protest movement.

Among the main slogans heard during the demonstrations were: “Rama to prison, Berisha to prison,” “Revolution,” “A New Albania,” “Rama resign,” “Your time is up,” “Without youth there is no Albania,” “We will bring the Curly Pelican to Parliament,” “Boycott these people,” “Get up from the cafés,” and “We decide here.”
