The citizens’ march has officially begun. After gathering in large numbers on the main boulevard, protesters have moved toward Tirana’s principal roads and avenues.
Throughout the capital’s central thoroughfares, demonstrators can be heard chanting “Rama Go Away” and demanding the immediate resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government cabinet.
The protest is expected to continue for several more hours, following a pattern similar to that seen in previous days.
At present, several of Tirana’s main roads have been blocked, as the large crowd of protesters has disrupted vehicle traffic while marching through the city.
Authorities are monitoring the situation as the demonstration continues across key areas of the Albanian capital.
