Ikballe Huduti, who was recently declared persona non grata in Albania, has broken her silence, claiming that the decision has devastated her life and insisting that she has no political ties to Iran.
Speaking to Top News, Huduti said the measures taken against her were based solely on her religious beliefs and spiritual connections, not on any political affiliation. She explained that while her spiritual leaders are in Iran, she has never been involved in Iranian politics or worked on behalf of any foreign government.
“Because of my religious beliefs and my spiritual connections, I have suffered these injustices,” Huduti said. “My spiritual leaders are there, but I have no political relationship with Iran. Defending justice is my religious obligation, and I believe it is also my duty to defend Albania. Even though I have been declared persona non grata, I do not consider Albania a foreign country.”
Huduti strongly rejected allegations linking her to Iran, stressing that she is simply a believer and not connected to any political organization.
“I swear by Almighty Allah that I have no ties either to Iran or to the Vatican,” she said. “I was only an ordinary participant in the protest.”
Her remarks come after the Albanian authorities issued an order declaring her an undesirable person in the country, a decision that has sparked public debate over the reasons behind the measure and the broader issues of national security, religious freedom, and political affiliation.
