Unbelievable! Protesters Make an Unusual Gesture in Front of the Prime Minister’s Office

This Saturday afternoon, citizens once again gathered to protest over the “Zvërnec” issue, initially assembling in Skanderbeg Square before continuing their march toward the Prime Minister’s Office.

Reports indicate that today’s protest is expected to be larger than previous demonstrations, as citizens from across the country have been called upon to join. It is also believed that participants from Kosovo and North Macedonia have traveled to take part.

In addition to Albanian national symbols, flags from countries where many Albanians live abroad could also be seen, with British flags being particularly noticeable due to the large number of members of the Albanian diaspora who have joined the protest.

On this 14th day of demonstrations, the protesters’ message remains unchanged: the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha.

Today, however, protesters introduced a symbolic and unusual gesture in front of the Prime Minister’s Office. A number of sneakers and shoes were placed on the ground by organizers as a sign of awareness and protest. The footwear is intended to symbolize the departure of emigrants from Albania and the ongoing issue of migration from the country.
